Well, the concept is not very original.
But the fact that the heads have to stay around the targets make it a little more challenging.

Graphics are good, the music is kinda repetitive.
A weird thing is that i'm sure i've already hear this music. Can u tell where did you found it ?

The game need a little more polish, the stars particles sometimes are stuck on the floor, when the screen shake, we see white lines instead of scenery, the level isnt shown near the "Level" text...

But globally the game is well made, continue like that :)

Your game have nice graphics but... it's a bit weird to play.

First, can you include a "How to play" screen ? Or telling us how to play in the game description ?
It was a chance i clicked then it made moving my Santa.

Now the big problem of your game is :
When you change to an other layer, Santa don't go right down under himself, he moves a bit to the right, then when he came back to the top, he came back to its first position on the left.

It make the game really not fun to play because you can't aim clearly.

I won't complain after the fact that we can only go down, it can be an original concept. But it can't work great because of the point above.

netcad3d responds:

Thanks for the comments and reviews. As for Santa's mistake when it comes down is a bug that is being solved. In the meantime, a more up-to-date

The game is intesting and the concept is good.
i think the controls would be better with a cross and not two parallel lines but it's my opinion.

Nice.

TheBarberians responds:

Hi, thanks for your feedback. It's a good idea. I will think about that.

What the hell.
The game is kinda good but wow.
That music is killing me.

The hitboxes are not good : the triangle at the end of the first level never touch me but kill me.
And using a physic bug like a gameplay mechanic is really weird (end of levels, we have to be under the plateform to go over it, instead of jumping from the side to reach the top...)

I'm not against hard games, it's ok but when they are made with a good challenge, not things that kill you even if you are good where you are.
When you do hard games, the first thing you have to think is : the player should never think it's the game fault if he loses. It always have to be its own fault because he isn't good enough.

In your case, i always think it's the fault of your game. I still liked some levels i tried but i ragequitted fast.

FlamesAtGames responds:

yo my dude i feel bad for you that you spent time writing that big of a review

this was just a little test thing i did for a school project, and it's literally the first game i ever made.
don't actually expect anything from this.

It's a bit weird to understand what we have to do when we start the game. A tiny tutorial only to say :
- What the game will ask you
- How to answer (how points work)
And that game would be perfect.

Nice job (even if i don't like much the graphics, but the goal of the game is cool and it's well made)

AthleticDesign responds:

Thanks, yes some additional instructions should be presented on/from the front screen. Our goal was to make the game so accessible that instructions were not needed, but you are right - more explicit instructions can't hurt. If you point on the score label on the card, scoring rules will be displayed, but, yea, easy to miss.

The game is good.
It's challenging, the graphics are smooth and cool.

But i miss some sounds, i feel strange facing a so empty context.
The bounce of the balls or the canon, it's akward to see them moving without any sounds.

But overall it's a quite good game :)

aflagames responds:

Thank you for your comment :)

Will think about adding new sounds :)

Nothing much to say because all of the things has already been said :D
Nice work, very fun game !

It starts well.
Then, after clearing all the rooms without any challenge (always the same ennemies), the "replay" button didnt worked.

The same for the "Completed seed" board.
Also, after exiting and starting a new game, my life was still as low as it was on my previous game, and sometimes i can't reach the doors because of the random algorithm.

So clearly, it needs polish and some work to be great.
